Mykhailo Khoma (DZIDZIO), together with the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine under the guidance of conductor Oksana Lyniv, started to work on the „National Anthem of Ukraine” project a few months ago. The work was held at the Kyiv Recording House, the only place in Ukraine where more than a hundred musicians and choirs can be recorded simultaneously.<\/p>\n
While working on the National Anthem, Mykhailo came up with the idea to write the Spiritual Anthem of Ukraine „Great God, You are the only one, save Ukraine for us”. It was unrealistic to do so in such a short timeframe, however, Mykhailo insisted:<\/p>\n
„In the process of preparing the project of the National Anthem of Ukraine, at some point I realized that I should definitely record the Spiritual Anthem of Ukraine as well.” We have made a wonderful team together with young talented musicians from all over Ukraine and they performed the prayer „Great God, You are the only one…” with me for the first time\u201d.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n We finished our work on the „Prayer” on a special day – the Annunciation. The video was directed by a longtime friend of Mykhailo – Volodymyr Shurubura.
